Absorbs ingested poisons and toxins. Free of common allergens.

Kirkman® offers activated charcoal capsules made by Nature’s Way®. Activated charcoal is a form of carbon that has been treated with oxygen to open up millions of microscopic pores that exist between the carbon atoms. This process results in highly porous charcoal that has large surfaces capable of absorbing colors, odors and toxic substances.

Activated charcoal is a low-cost, over-the-counter product used by doctors and poison control centers for absorbing ingested poisons or for absorbing toxic substances that may be formed internally due to food sensitivities, allergies or Candida albicans die-off reactions (Herxheimer reactions). It is also used by physicians for a variety of intestinal complaints.

Dying cells of Candida secrete copious amounts of toxins that can be absorbed by activated charcoal, thus making Herxheimer reactions less uncomfortable. Unabsorbed, these toxic secretions are carried through the body by blood, disrupting the immune system and causing a variety of uncomfortable symptoms.

Activated charcoal can also absorb beneficial nutrients and active drug ingredients. It should not be taken with prescription medications or vitamins and minerals. It should be separated by about two hours from those important Rx ingredients or nutrients.

Preservatives, yeast, milk, lactose, wheat, sugar, soy or corn.
