Setting A New Standard…
Ultra Tested for Environmental Contaminants

What is Ultra Tested®?

Kirkman® is a leader in purity testing in the nutritional supplement industry with its Ultra Tested initiative. Developed by Kirkman, the Ultra Tested protocol calls for testing ingredients for environmental contaminants like heavy metals, bacteria, yeast, mold, and pesticides; and then testing the finished products after blending and encapsulating are completed.

Kirkman’s Ultra Tested standards far exceed industry standards and government requirements. If a supplement company is not a manufacturer — and most aren't — they are not required to conduct product testing for purity and safety, or to substantiate label claims. Many of these companies can't tell you with absolute certainty if their products are pure or safe.

Manufacturers, on the other hand, are required by the FDA to test for a short list of potentially harmful contaminants and to validate their label claims. Most reputable manufacturers comply with the government's requirements for testing; however, few go beyond the requirements…as Kirkman does. A common practice for manufacturers is to rely on Certificates of Analysis (CFAs) from raw ingredient suppliers for information regarding the products they purchase. This is no longer a reliable source of information since 80% of all raw ingredients used in nutraceuticals and pharmaceuticals come from many overseas sources. The only way for a supplement company to ensure purity is to do their own extensive testing for as many potentially harmful environmental contaminants as possible, at both the raw ingredient and finished product levels. And this is what Kirkman does.

Kirkman Sets New Standards

Kirkman has always been at the forefront of innovation for effective products that meet our customers' needs. The reason we have pioneered Ultra Tested is because of the growing body of evidence that implicates environmental toxins as causing serious health issues, especially for developing children.
